At the end of the Warring States era, a once-mighty fortress was consumed by flames of war. Now it exists as a cursed space frozen in time — a ruined castle where petals of pink and violet fall eternally beneath a twilight sky.
The protagonist, Onimaru (鬼丸) — "Blade of the Demon" — was a samurai who fell to a terrible curse. His body now bears a demon's mask, twin horns, and eyes burning with crimson flame. He does not remember his past. He only knows one truth: as long as the curse remains unbroken, he must fight.
Every enemy slain releases a fragment of purified curse energy. Every coin collected makes him stronger. And somewhere, beyond ten thousand kills, the mask may finally shatter.

When the Awakening Gauge hits MAX, the curse ignites. Onimaru's entire body erupts in flame. His eyes blaze with blinding light. The katana becomes a flaming blade of devastating power — strikes are wider, pierce through multiple enemies, and leave trails of fire that purify all they touch.

The restless souls of soldiers who died in the castle's fall. They close in from both sides, relentless and numerous. The backbone of every wave — underestimate them at your peril.
Spectral bowmen who fire from range. Their arrows cannot be blocked — only jumped over. Three arrow types: green (slow), blue (medium), red (fast). Stay airborne or stay dead.
Massive demon lords with enormous HP pools. They attack up close and hurl boulders from range. Defeating one drops a golden coin worth 20 — the greatest challenge, the greatest reward.
Drag anywhere on the left 40% of the screen to move freely left and right. Chase coins, dodge enemies, position for the perfect strike — full tactical freedom in a 2D plane.
Two dedicated buttons on the right side. Jump to dodge arrows. Attack to slash enemies. Combine them mid-air for a devastating Jump Attack (落下斬) that craters enemies below.
Each successive kill within the combo window multiplies your score up to ×5.0. Build rhythm: move, slash, jump, slash again. The combo is your momentum — don't let it drop.
Fill the gauge by killing enemies and collecting Sake items (+50 each). At MAX (100), Awakening triggers automatically — an unstoppable 8–20 second rampage of flame and ruin.
Every slain enemy drops coins. Spend them in the Upgrade Shop between runs: boost HP, attack power, awakening duration, coin magnet range, and coin bonus multiplier. Get stronger every session.
Your score is your kill count. Beat your personal best. Every new record is proof that you have grown — that the curse of yesterday's Onimaru has been surpassed.
The curse does not break all at once. With each milestone reached, Onimaru's demon form weakens — and the human beneath slowly resurfaces.
